Whilst the national language of Sri Lanka being Sinhala, we have learned that majority of the people from the rural areas representing the tea plantation community lack the ability of speaking the Sinhala Language. And this barrier has become a stumbling block for them to progress in their life.

To rectify this situation, at Sinthanai Foundation, we have introduced a programme where the participants are taught to speak in Sinhala.
